Video Description: Millions of people will head to the polls in India's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh, to vote for provincial representatives on Wednesday.

The elections are seen as an indicator of public sentiment about the government, but many voters, especially those known as the Dalits or "untouchables", do not have much trust in government to better their living conditions.

Those voters are unhappy about the prospects for receiving benefits they had been promised in previous elections.

Al Jazeera's Prerna Suri reports from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
